New Golf Procedures as a result of COVID-19:
We have some important changes in place to keep the golf operation safe for you and our staff. We’re still working hard to provide the best golf experience possible for you, but we need your help to make it work for everyone.
Pre-scheduled Tee Times: All golfing is by tee time reservation; walk-in golfers are not encouraged
- Masks are required in all Fort Wayne Park & Recreation facilities including the Golf Clubhouse
Participate in “no touch” golf to avoid use of shared equipment – leave flagsticks in holes, etc.
No gathering before or after your round of golf in parking lots, near clubhouse, etc. Just check-in and hit the links!
Golf cart dividers are provided for your safety and to meet CDC guidelines during the COVID-19 epidemic. Please leave the dividers up. If safety equipment is being tampered with, we will not be able to continue the use of golf carts.
We have been very eager to continue with our season (again), but it will take effort from all of us to keep our three city golf courses safe and enjoyable for everyone. Thank you!
Make Plans to Play at Foster Park Golf Course!
The pride of the Fort Wayne Parks Department is Foster Park Golf Course. This 18-hole layout, plays to a par 71. The surrounding park and woods provide an incredible back drop to a challenging course. The course is maintained in excellent condition and with hole locations close to one another the course is easy to walk.
The greens are guarded by an occasional bunker and the rough is player friendly, but don't be fooled. Foster Park's length will require you to use every club in the bag.
When inclement weather occurs, courses may close for a short period, or for the day, depending upon the severity of the weather. To check on course availability, or to schedule tee times, call the golf course where you plan to play.
Foster Park Road Detour still in effect
Motorists in the vicinity of the Broadway and Rudisill Boulevard intersection will notice a new road closure. The intersection will be closed to accommodate construction of the Rudisill Consolidation Sewer, beginning the week of July 8, 2019. The closure is expected to be in place for up to ten months.
Access to Foster Park will be from south of the park. Check out the Detour Map of Foster Park for additional information.
